hi, live in saint john nb Canada, just got a 2007 fit base model, I have around 230k on it so far and love it, I am taking it in for safety inspection on wed then I will know better on how I made out, it drives and sounds good little rust starting around wheel wells and bottom of doors nothing real bad there is some rust around lock on back hatch makes me a little nervous, but hopefully it is not to bad, fr looking around here and reading I see there are a lot of people that are willing to help, so I thought I should say thanks in advance for help I am sure I will be asking for in the future, lol, john

 

Welcome aboard John! 230K is a lot of miles for an 8 year old car, that's almost 30K miles a year. These cars are made to last so just keep up on maintenence and def. watch that rust.

 

no I drove it 230 k it has 262000k on it and as soon as weather gets better and the river drops I will get right at the rust, I see a lot of Hondas with high kilometers, 260000 doesn't really bother me she was a original owner and traveled a lot for the teacher union so she said, anyways wed I will get better report, I see a set of winter studded tires 185/60r14 that I want but I am not spending any money till after inspection I am hoping all is good

 

passed inspection with out any repairs, had to replace front tires is all, bottom solid but never undercoated so I will do that next week, thinking of install cruise will search to see how big a job, thanking u all in advance for help know I will need, i plan on keeping for awhile
