From an e90 BMW to a Fit

Like the title says, I've owned BMW's since I had my first car. They are draining both emotionally and financially. When they work just right they're a blast and when they don't you just want to kick one of the tires and cuss it out.

Still waiting on the fit. I reserved a 6 speed MT LX in Aegean Blue Metallic but the dealership still does not know when it will be produced. It already has a vin assigned however. I had an 03 Accord LX as a "break" car that I daily drove in between owning an e46 and the current e90 330i 6 MT. With the accord I literally got so bored of doing nothing nothing but regular maintenance that I sold it and got the e90. Now I miss the Honda, so what better way to mix the fun of a 6 speed MT with the reliability of a Honda.

For those of you who have waited on cars to be produced, how long has your wait been? I'm growing a little it impatient but trying to tough it out. The salesperson called and said it would likely arrive by mid September as a 2017 model.

The bimmerforums and e90 post were always very fun to chat with people about cars and off topic so I'm looking forward to hearing form you guys!

I think one thing you'll miss is the "light" use of sound insulation in the Fit, compared to Bimmers.

Ihad to wait on my '07 and my '12, both manuals. Roughly, it was about 3.5 for the '07 and about 2.5 for the '12 (ended up being a dealer swap). If you've got a VIN, then your car is definitely in work. Hang in there! :-)

Went from an E46 BMW to a GD3 Fit Sport. Different leagues, but almost as entertaining to drive!

Update! Spoke to the sales person today and he informed me that the car will be produced within the window of the 22nd to 25th of this month + 21 days of estimated delivery. Therefore it should be here by mid September so it's on track!

As far as cabin isolation, I've owned a 2003 Accord LX which was considerably more noisy than the bimmers but like some members have said. Comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges. Totally different leagues. I like the fit because it's a fun sporty little car and the noise the engine makes that reaches the cabin is part of that fun.
