PBP 2017 delivered in a few hours! Protection?
Hi from St. Louis, MO. After waiting almost two years (following the ill-advised purchase of a horrible car....) I am finally getting my 2017 EX-L today - Passion Berry Pearl!!
I found this forum because I was researching that color, and got lots of info about how to protect the car's finish. I ordered a bottle of ReJex and I understand the car should be clay barred before application. (It's being driven about 250 miles to my house, from a dealership in Arkansas.)
My question? How do I find someone reliable to 1) Clay bar the car and 2) Apply the Rejex? There's no way I could do that and not screw it up.
Am also getting the windows tinted (found a good place here in STL) and buying floor mats, cargo mat, etc. Got good info on that from another thread.
SO excited to finally own this car and never see the hated Scion in my garage again - had to share!!

250miles can cause chips.. besure to painter's tape the front end.
sounds like fun. clearbra ur front end, tint the windows.. use proper wash method, dry method.
then u can talk about sealants and clay. otherwise just use polymer based wax as you dry type products. should be plenty for a Fit.

Thanks kenchan! I am clueless about all of this. Appreciate your expertise.
Drove two cars in 30 years. (Yeah, really.) So I'll keep this one a long time. Want to do everything possible to keep it nice. I found a detail guy here in STL, will have your info to ask him.
Thank you again
