Newbie checking in

My wife and I just bought a CPO 2015 Fit for our dog. Yes, for our dog. We have a basset hound so he has short legs and a long body and he's having a difficult time getting in and out of my wife's RAV4 when she takes him to the dog park and the vet but she doesn't want to give up her SUV so we started looking for a dog friendly, or at least our dog friendly, vehicle that's low to the ground and with a floor large and flat enough for our dog to lay on without having to hop on to the seat. My initial thought was to get a Honda Element. We started looking and decided we didn't need to get another SUV with horrible fuel economy and many around us are in pretty rough condition with lots of miles. So that left us with either the Fit or the HR-V specifically for the Magic Seats where we can lift them out of the way to expose that nice floor for our dog to lay on. I know there's a hump in the middle but we can overcome that by padding the floors on either side. After looking at about a dozen online and test drove 3 we decided on this one. I signed the papers yesterday and we're picking it up on Tuesday and we're really excited about it and can't wait to dress it up. We're no strangers to Hondas as we both have had Accords so we know how reliable they are and we can't wait to learn from all of you and exchange stories.

I hope we got one of the good ones, too. What was wrong with yours? Being a CPO I hope all the problems come out within the first 12 months or 12,000 miles.

too many to list. but the car still runs so i guess it’s functional. been telling my wife, who is the primary driver, that it’s okay to get another car but since paint is flaking and probably not worth that much now, she wants to drive it a tad more cause the GK is fuel efficient and she has to let the valets park often.

fuel economy is very good. she does combined at 38+mpg consistently. when i used the car for about a week on my expressway commute, i was getting 42mpg easily without trying.

gas is like $22-24 every 7-8 days.. where as my gas on my Golfs run premium so more like $35-40 haha.

Awesome. That's what I was hoping to hear. As long as it runs and good fuel economy I'm happy.
