Meet Ryu
Meet Ryu
I've had many cars before but all were never new. Some iconic, some fast, but all were reliable because I wrenched on them - a lot. At some point though, i'm just getting tired of the constant maintenance and need something more modern. Im not completely sold on many of the newer cars on the market and really wanted something that harked back to those glorious Honda days. The days when the first Fast & Furious came out and the tuner days was in full swing for the imports.
I took the plunge and bought my first, brand new car - a 2018 Honda Fit Sport whom I appropriately named Ryu. The reviews were mostly positive. Many praised the engineering of the Magic Seats (which sold me by the way) and how the Fit is almost like driving an old school Civic. Love the car. Its modern in a way where the technology is present, but not intrusive (not a fan of the Honda Sensing), the steering is razor sharp. and the whole thing just feels so much more bigger inside than it looks outside. I had to get it in the 6 speed. Old school E-brake. Lightweight. Things that I notice are going away in most modern cars. On a side note, went to a restaurant that made you do the whole valet parking thing .. attendant called me back out from inside the restaurant to tell me i had to park it myself because none of them knew how to drive stick. Funny, yet sad that its a dying art. Thanks Honda for keeping the tradition alive. Anyway, love the car.
