Exclamation better thread titles, please?

Can members please, please, please, use more specific words in their subject thread titles?

It's frustrating to see headlines like, "please answer my question!"

A better headline would use a few concise terms more specifically related to your questions (s). For example, "need advice on headlight modifications".

Not all of us have time to click through each vaguely titled thread to see if it's pertinent to their own questions or answers. So please help streamline this forum.

Make use of common sense to create a meaningful title, yet take no action to look up the information yourself? This is the internet right? One can only wish.

I kind of like the vague sometimes misleading thread titles.
Clicking on a thread is like opening a surprise package. Who know's what might be inside? Makes it more fun!

Mama always use to say, The internet is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

I wince at titles like "Engine Blew Up In My New [insert vehicle brand here]", which alarm potential buyers who then turn away from the brand without reading further. Upon reading the post, one learns that the owner did something stupid to cause his own ruin.

Then there's the "Need Help With My Breaks" which assures that the thread will never be found in a Search for Brakes.

Oh well, this is life in the automotive forum lane …..

What kills me is when I use the search feature and it returns a thread like "what did you do to your fit today." I am like... Wonderful, 2100 random posts, this will be fun to follow. I know you can then search inside a thread....

To the OP, I get it, notice my signature line... I would like to add another nomination to President.. LOL!

I tried to change thread title for clarity. That didn't work. Asked mods...no response.

saw a thread title, and thought about you guys:

"Can someone confirm for me that this is the right part I'm replacing?"
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...replacing.html

I was hoping that thread contained something funny ... like hot dogs and donuts

we should turn this into a contest of some sorts, and have a monthly raffle. every thread we add, earns the poster a raffle ticket. here is my latest entry

"help please"
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...lp-please.html

sub forum = Unofficial Honda FIT Forums > The Honda Fit and Jazz Forums > 3rd Generation (2015+)
