Hi guys, just wondering if anybody has opened up the stock speaker holes to be able to accommodate 6 3/4” speakers. I’m looking at replacing mine after 155k miles and am interested in putting the biggest speakers I can fit in there. PS I still want to use the stock head unit as I like the look and already added wired-in Bluetooth.

What generation is your Fit?

I have slightly enlarged the opening on my rear doors. The diameter is the outer measurement of the speaker mounting points. It's the magnet/basket that can make things difficult. Depending on if you just want basshead loud or a more SQ build, taking the steps to tune and sound deaden the vehicle yields improved results.

 

Action, thanks for the response. I’ve got a GE8 2010 5MT Base. Looking for SQ, focusing on live music: funk, jam bands, that kinda thing. Planning on applying some dynamat-type material to the doors while I’m in there.
