Thumbs up For those still on the fence on whether to get XM...

This new plan for 5.99/mo or 49.99/yr may sweeten the pot.

This new plan includes 50+ channels plus internet access and iOS/Android app.

The SiriusXM Basic Plus Package - SiriusXM Radio

This is a great way to see if you want to get the full XM stations or maybe the 50 channels are enough. Scroll down for the full list of English and Spanish channels included in the package.

My experience with Sirius charges

Initially got Sirius XM cause the wife's Lexus RX had it built into the OEM Stereo HU. It came free with a 6 month trial and when it expired, we didn't bother to renew.
A week later got a call from Sirus CS offering all sorts of plans. Still didn't bite cause we both didn't listen to it that much. They were insistant and finally offered $15.34/ 3 months ($5.11) for the full package (170 stations). I caved and they made it over a 6 month period (Total: $30.68).
Its been renewed every six months since 2011.
Now that I installed Sirius in the GK, transferred the subscription to the installed Onyx XM, which expired last Sept. Got a call again from their CS and this time they offered $4.74/month. Set to expire Jan.31, 2015.
If you have an expiring subscription, don't renew immediately and wait for them to get your business back. They do offer attractive unpublished deals if your patient.

Youre so right. I've had XM for 11yrs so when i bought the FIT it was the 1st car that it wasn't in the car. So they offered me the Onyx for FREE. I told them that I was looking at the Onyx Plus. They then discounted that unit from $99.99 to $59.99. I moved on the deal. Then a few hours after my order, the sam XM rep called back and stated that since I was a loyal customer of 12 years, they DROPPED the price even further another 25 bux and would credit the 25.00 toward the next 2 months payment.
