2009 sport nav most recent firmware version. cpu/ram upgrade

hello,

when you update the navigation dvd does it also update the firmware or only update the database of roads?

i dont really care about up to date roads as much as knowing i am on the most up to date software. i find the nav a little bit slow and was hoping a software upgrade could help a little.

or perhaps it is just the hu overall? theres a fair amount of lag when pushing buttons, not just in map mode. though that is common in a lot of cars

is there any hardware upgrades that can be done to speed things up?

my nav system info, anyone know what most up to date versions are?:
database 6.d0
software 2.40.40

thanks!

the 12'-13' is faster, better graphics because the nav is on 16gb flash memory vs dvd drive. Our deck doesn't fold to show a DVD Drive or SD Card. This is not a computer. There is no navigation where u can add ram or etc.
