So there is this "special edition" Fit in the Japan site with HIDS... Does anyone know if it has new headlights that accomodate them or just stock housings with bulbs? If its just bulbs... this is something we should get for proper aim!

You are indeed correct (LOL i used proper english). There are JDM models that come factory with HID's. Ben's BOM fit (w/ the front end conversion) has HID'S on his. The reflectors are shaped to create a proper light output angle w/o the use of projectors, sort of like the G35 here. U'd have to do a full jdm conversion just to use the headlights w/ the built in HID's, or just retro-fit some.

 

Too bad Honda USA doesn't offer upgrade packages to the US Fit...like a lighting package that upgrades us to OEM HID, and LED tail lights

 

i wonder if the reflector bowls from the JDM fit would swap onto the USDM Fit. If the bowls could swap over, done deal!

 

Even if they did it would be RHD not LHD.

How do those things work?

Current OEM bi-xenon setups are only found in projector headlamps where the shield moves down, or in multiple light setups. This looks like it just has the one reflector still.
