led hvac DIY w/pics!!!
they are out there - where i dont know
you can sharpie the bulb, but its not gonna work,.. soooo
sharpie the back of the buttons instead and itll work best, try with the stock rubbers on, and check the color-- then try and pull one off and compare,
its prolly easier [& cheaper] to just go led

prolly those little indicator lights are VERY yellow-- without the cok sok.
the blue gel makes it a more "white" light,
but still its not a good source to start from when trying to make a certain output..
(did that make ANY sense? lol )
maybe a few coats of the stain, but i dont think 1 will do.
(go led-- you KNOW you want to
)

another bit of info...
if you wanted to know the leds from superbrights, on the wires have the resistor inline already, you dont need to add anything.
and yes, they are polarized, meaning they only work one way ...

nother bump with notes:
when you do the buttons--
* use sharpies and color the whole inside of the cap-
*leave the bulbs alone - if you remove the condom the light will be too orange and mess your colors up, (unless you want orange , take them off)

He got them to change the color of xmas lights. they slip over the bulb of the smaller "twinkle-style" lights.
I think he said he got them somewhere online..
I can check if anyone is interested.
