i was just thinking about this. i saw an older accord in my parking structure at lunch. it looked like it had tinted headlights. it looked neat. i don't know how it would look on the fit though.

Stupidest idea ever. Unless being able to see at night is not on your list of priorities.

idk. maybe yellow? that'd be funny.

but yeah, with tinted headlights, your visibility will be about as good as an easy-bake oven cooks :P

i htink the OP is talking about the kind of "smoke covers" that you can buy for some cars. a guy i work with has them on his fox mustang, and his headlights don't put off any light. what a ricer. his car is totally appearance>function. although, his taste in style is debatable :P

i was thinking about doing it (using perhaps bat's overlays) but
considering the low illumination power these lamps give off vs
HID's out there i dont think i'd want to diminish the performance
further.

im not into using PIAA's, etc either. they dont last nearly as long
as OE bulbs nor are they that bright as they advertise...imho.

I bought (cheap) a set of headlight adhesive film tint covers (smoke) on eBay, based on the claim that they don't change light output. Have had them for at least six months, never got around to installing them. I thought that the smoke tint would look OK with BOM color, and might provide a small amount of rock chip protection. If I ever get them on, will report on light output.

Yes, but be patient. I won't do this until Spring weather. It takes the same PITA installation as 3M paint protection film. Needs warm weather. 50/50 chance of cheap crap or OK quality. Guaranteed report, no guarantee of photos unless the looks are OK. Don't remember the name of eBay vendor, but might be able to find it.

you can use metalizer thinner (testor's plastic model paint thinner)
to remove night shades.
