I can't imagine headlight bulbs overheating, though I'm sure it happens. A headlight bulb is more likely to bust if there's oil or debris (don't touch the glass with your fingers!) on the bulb, which would get it hotter than it's supposed to get, or if there's a slight imperfection that compromises the bulb, but that should happen until after a good number of hours use

im sure everyone that comes to this forum planning on doing something themselves feel theres a little risk involved in anything theyre about to attempt. isnt that why people come to forums? get a little advice from people who have had experience on the subject? im sure everyone here looks for enough reassurance to help them continue with whatever theyre about to attempt. thanks for the reply anyway i guess.

Make sure you keep the wattage to down 55/60 watt and you will not run into any problem.

I second all that was already said. Mainly being, don't touch the bulb with your hands, the natural oils of your hands will ruin them. Second, keep the wattage the same as stock wattage.

If u got over 60 watt bulbs u can encounter some melted wires from to hot of a bulb. I have run relays in between some of my hotter bulbs that I used in my Audi back in the day. I have seen a few guys who bought 120 watt bulbs from Hong Kong and fried some wires on there VW's.
