now that im working, i will be buying tail lights. but ive heard around the forum "is it real or fake" "replica" "real (thing)", how do i know if it is real or not? and whats the difference? or is it jut a pride thing?

well, after looking at all they have to offer for the fit, the price says not real. additionally, this says it's not real
DOT/SAE Approved taillights, made by approved and Certified Manufacturer to ensure quality and fitment.

Am I proud I have JDM tails, yeah. Does it make me have more pride, nope.

 

I'm pretty sure the real JDM tails have LED turn signals as well, maybe reverse lights too

 

Well as far as I know there was no OEM taillight offered like that so they would just be aftermarket. Also looking at them form just the pics they look illegal, there is no red reflector in them.

 

Please don't get those all chrome pieces of shit. So ugly.

 

i noticed the no reflector, but is a cop gunna pull me over for that? nah

and i know the chrome shit is fugly, but i was thinking of tinting it down so the reflection is limited

i honestly dont care if its real or not, its just for looks. it doesnt affect performance wise des it?

 

Well, everyone knows the more JDM stuff you have on your car the more horsepower and vice versa for replicas... that stuff drains power...LOL

But, yeah they don't look to be JDM or anything

 

I say don't tint it down either. If you don't care, get fake GOOD looking ones at least.

I tinted my fakes and it looks shitty up close. I'm going to get real smoked JDM tails and leave them the hell alone.

 

legally you are supposed to have red reflectors in the rear...
keep an eye out for that to avoid any troubles down the road,
most will have that little corner as a red (or white) reflector

 

you wouldn't know if a cop is gonna pull you over for it, it's up to the cop

 

get these and tint them red cept the middle part, so you got LED OEM style tailights!

You might never get pulled over or you might get pulled over afte 20 mins of having them, there realy is no way of telling. You will also have to live with that little bit of fear when ever a cop is behind you as to whether or not he will pull you over.

 

get real parts not because they are jdm but because they usually work/look/fit better. end of story.

 

id get real if i nothing else to spend my money on :P
