HID: Xenith Xenon H11 problems
HID: Xenith Xenon H11 problems
Hey all,
I just installed some 3000k Xenith xenons in my 07 fit. I followed the same DIY on here for the installation of xeniths headlights (but only did the fogs) I found that during installation of the xenon bulb into the foglight receptacle - the fitment was extremely tight! Almost to the point where I thought I was going to have to shave some excess material off....I finally managed to install one bulb but on the second I had to remove the rubber seal ring to ensure the bulb would fit. With force I was able to get the light in and decided I should try WITH the rubber seal..Upon removing the bulb the base of it snapped
.
Also the metal light damper bent open a bit (this shouldnt be hard to fix though). The light still works so I left it installed and emailed George at Xenith to see about a replacement. Now I will have to wait and keep driving with one light that bounces and is improperly aimed - which is annoying because I intend to use them as my daytime runners.
I am posting here to find out if anyone else has had this problem, if so - what did you do to make this install easier?
