Tail light red turn signal bulb?
#5
Why wouldn't it be legal? Why because Red is for stop whereas Amber indicates you are making a turn. Using red could confuse a car behind you into thinking you are stopping causing them to stop quickly and maybe causing some accident. But it will all be behind you so go ahead and change them til the cops pull you over and write the ticket.

My wife's g37 coupe has red turn signal indicators. The tail lights are led an the signal bulbs are incandecent. So I don't think red signal bulbs are illegal.
I was also planning on using red signal bulbs when my RS replica depo tail come.

Perhaps laws in Canada states that turn signals must be amber colored. In the US car manufactures can use amber or red. That might be where the confusion lies as to why it shouldn't be illegal here.

I'm pretty sure that the California Law says that REAR: turn signals need to be amber/yellow or red. and Front: turn signals to be amber/yellow or white.

really y'all like red? I really dislike it. I think it comes from all those trucks and ford explorers having ONE DAMN BULB for the signal, brake, and parking lights... like wtf... really now?
Plus i just like the separation of colors with amber and red. Easier to see/comprehend.

I didn't like the bulb. I notice that the glass on the OEM bulb is made out amber color, while the red one that I purchased was only dipped in a red tint. It looked like with in time the tint would fade and give you a magenta color to it making it look like crap, so I didn't even bother trying to install it.
