Any good place to Mount (4) HID Ballasts....

we recently j/ purchased a 2011 Honda Fit Sports,
and i'm gonna install H4 hi/lo HID & HID fogs...
i like to know where are the best places to mount the HID Ballast.

I like to mount them some where hidden so that the Rust Proofing
will have very minimal contact to it. (since i get it spray annually)

i don't mind takin' out the bumper & headlights j/ to get access to
the ballast, so please advise where are some good places~

thx in advance!

FYI, gettin' them from DDMtuning

I think a convenient spot would be right behind the fog lamps.

To take out the fog lamps all you have to do is take out the one screw in the front and it pretty much pops out.

But the issue is... how "shielded" is that location from waster/dust/dirt?

i was thinkin' somewhere along the structural beam behind the bumper~
cuz behind the fog light housing, it's still pretty close to the ground....
may encounter a bit of splashes and dirts..

You should do a retro... It is way better and does not blind people I thought ddm was done with hid kits? Morimoto's seem to be rather water proof check out this vid YouTube - Morimoto 3Five 35w HID Ballast Underwater Testing ... From a thread on HiDplanet : The Official Automotive Lighting Forum - The Buzz For Retro parts or a pnp kits I recommend The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications they have Morimoto bulbs and ballast The guys name is Matt call him he is the MAN...

Plenty of space behind the rebar attachment point. Check my DIY on HID install to see photos. My are regular, not slim ballast either.

I used heavy duty double sided tape and mounted directly under my headlamps. Taking out the headlamps makes it's a bit easier and did it during my retrofitting.

thanks!!
