Headlight restoration on tinted tails?

When I tinted my tails I used VHT Nightshades and they didn't turn out with as glossy as a finish as i would like, so I was just wondering if I used headlight restoration would it take the tint off or if it would give it the shine I'm looking for?

If you're talking about the restoration type that requires use of sandpaper, I doubt it. But if you mean something less abrasive like plasticX or liquid type plastic cleaner/polishes, then maybe...

You can test it out by applying a bit on a corner and see if it eats into the film or hazes.

wet sand them with 1200 or 1500 grit sand paper then use plastx with the buffer. they will look like you bought them tinted.
