We hear some people that call HIDs "hids". It gets a good chuckle.

Masking off the rings sucks. I blame you, jnesselroad, for giving this customer the idea and then asking me to do it whilst the headlight is separated!

my bad... i was kinda hoping to have this be another one of "my things", but as we've all learned in forums, one good idea usually gets copied over and over. i guess it's kinda flattering.

It wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to cut the very thin strips between the headlight ring and the turn signal. Did you just use a knife and chop the masking tape down to tiny strips for that?

not sure i know where you're talking about. i just did the rings themselves. here's a better picture. i also taped off the reflector bowls, but painted the straight parts that don't effect anything. that was my hardest part. used an xacto.

Excellent. That picture helps immensely!

Thank you!

Nice retrofit!

Quick question, did you remove the reflector bowls? I've been trying to figure out how to remove my 2007 fit reflector bowls, but I cant reach a reverse clip that's on the other side of the reflector bowl.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I did not remove the bowls. I didn't have to.
