Hid installed with rubber boot?

This is for the guys that installed HID.

If you were able to use the factory rubber boot, how did you get it in?

UPDATED:

I splice the wires and inserted boot and reconnected wires.

Yep u can. Some kits have different bulbs. Mine have a shield u can take apart, i installed the shield to the headlight and then put the rubber boot on. And the inserted the hid bulb through the rubber boot. It was a tight tight fit but now i know theres no way any water is going to get through. I hope this helps someone.

I cut the boot with scissors from edge to center, then it can wrap around whatever obstacle, and in the end it still offers enough protection, You can put a piece of tape over that cut too.
