Question Difference between Base and Sport Audio

Does anyone know how much worse the Base stereo system sounds compared to the Sport model? I know that the Sport model has the tweeters so the frequency range will be lost in the Base. Can you still control the amount of treble and bass in the Base stereo or is that only for the equalizer in the Sport? How useful is the equalizer?

As far as I know only difference is that the base doesn't have tweeters nor MP3/WMA CD Playback. It comes without an AUX jack but you can DIY one on the Base, there is a sticky for that one.

Also I heard somewhere, but I'm not clear, I think the Sport Model's internals are manufactured by Alpine? I would think both internals are the same in every other way but the MP3/WMA CD Playback capability.

I believe there's also an output difference. Something like 160 watts vs 200. Not sure of the exact numbers offhand.

Yea I know about all of the spec differences. I was looking for more of a subjective difference, if anyone has compared the two by ear? Also, can you control the bass and treble on the base stereo?

Yes you can control bass, treble and SVC on the base radio, SVC changes volume depending on cabin noise levels.
