Factory radio on Fit Sporto and MP3 CD's
The web page says that the factory radio on the Fit Sport will play MP3 and WMA files.
So I can burn the files onto a CD-R and then put that in to the radio on a Fit Sport and it will play the files, no iPod needed.. Is this correct?

This is exactly what I have done. I have about a dozen CD's that I carry in my car, each with 150+ songs on them.
I've read that some Honda vehicles can play MP3's from DVD+/-R's as well. Has anyone tried this in a Fit yet to see if it works?

Not only you can put mp3s in there, you can put them in folders so you can get to your songs quicker! took me a few burns to get it right though,, Found out you gotta burn it as a data CD..
How many folders deep can the factory Fit Sport Radio find them?
From page 115 in the manual:
The disc player can also play CD-Rs and CD-RWs compressed in CDTEXT, MP3, andWMA formats. When playing a disc in MP3 or WMA, you will see ‘‘MP3’’ or ‘‘WMA’’ in the display. You can select up to 255 folders or tracks.
Maximum layers (including ROOT): 8 layers
