How it 'Fits' inside

hey, im new here...im 18 yrs old, and looking into a first car (must be a Honda cuz thats just how I am lol) but the 4-door sedans look like shit and are boring, so I was lookin at the Fit

problem is, im 6'6 i read somewhere that the Fit doesnt have alot of footroom, which would mean the Fit wouldnt be the car for me

so yea, who's the tallest Fit owner here?

well... im thinking you may need a bigger car. these are just some random measurements i took. i scooted the driver seat back as far as it would go and i took 2 measurements. one from the gas petal to where ur back would be on the seat. and another from the bottom of the seat to the top of the headest (as high as it would go too).
so this first pic is the driver seat all the way back and passenger all the way forward, just so you can see what it looks like.

see tape-measurer
sorry this next pic came out dark. its about 43' from gas petal to back of seat (im adding an inch for the tape measurer)

so these next pics are from base of seat to the top head rest.

hmmm, hopefully this gives you some estimate. easiest thing to do is to the dealership and try one out for yourself.
dang! 18 and 6'6. you just might be the tallest. im 5'3...
goodluck! hope you find the right car for you

So, I'm 6'6 as well. I got the Fit because I do fit. Chronic issue with buying cars is most don't fit. I have a CRV as well. The CRV fits me pretty well but I feel as though too much of my legs hang off the seat bottom. If the seat base extended another 6 inches it would take a lot of stress off my legs. I find the headroom in the fit to be excellent. The legroom works ok but my knees end up pretty high. I got a sport paddle shift for the legroom issue. I wanted a manual but worried about the legs. The only problem with the overall drive feeling is that I have the seat all the way back which works for my legs but it leaves my arms almost locked out straight. It is fine for my half hour commutes and even an hour drive or so but any long drives and my arms and shoulders will ache I'm sure. It would be perfect if it had a steering column that extended out instead of just tilting. I wonder about putting one in but I don't know how that would work with the paddle shifters. Otherwise I love it. Get used to everyone saying, "I can't believe you are driving such a small car." The good news is you can knock them out and they'll fit in the cargo area for quick disposal. (Just kidding!) I wouldn't want you to mess up the interior.

lololololol aight thanks for that, i really like the fit

edit: i knew foot space would be some sort of issue (knee probably would end up touch the steering wheel) but so long as it doesnt interfere with the actual turning of the steering wheel im ok with it.. lol on having such a small car, i wouldve thought that since the fit is so tall that headroom would be adequate, as headroom in other cars has been ok and the fit definately is taller than those ive been in lol
