Metra Kit Pics ***56k - Go Fix a Sammich***
I got a kit in today. Overall, for the price, it seemed well put together, designed and packaged. Hopefully you will see it in the pics, but to my eye, the glint and texture compared to that of the factory dash is spot on.
BTW, I loosely popped in the pocket to give myself a reference for location of a DIN unit. It has provisions for a DIN with pocket, double DIN without, single ISO mount with, and dual stacked ISO without.

BTW, I will be getting a Scosche kit soon, and I of course will compare them side by side completely. I will remain unbiased, for I distribute them all.
I think the important thing here is that we should be celebrating that we have parts available and we have OPTIONS as to whose brand we can buy. Everyone has tastes and opinions, and the bigger the market, the more people that can find what they find attractive.

Wow, very cool of you to do this. Everyone has their opinion and price range so yeah this is definitely good for the market. I am biased towards the Scosche kit though even before the review just based on the pictures I've seen and not fitment and final quality of the piece.
Forgot to add, please compared it to the OEM piece too please.

The JVC was a throw-away temp radio until my Eclipse double-DIN Bluetooth Navi unit comes in.
For $45, it's decent and plays home made MP3 and WMA cd's whereas the factory unit would not. Even thought the factory unit said "MP3" and "WMA" on the front of it, I could NEVER get it to play any kind of homemade CD.

It matches perfectly. No need to paint, unless you're into that sorta thing.
