Can't wait to install all this stuff.

I have purchased the following items and hope to do my install this weekend. I will post pictures of my progress to help out the community. The amp for my subwoofer has the capability to draw way too much current so I will be researching solutions for a better alternator as well.

Headunit - DEH-p880prs - 24bit segemented Burr-Brown Dacs and 3 way active crossovers for when I eventually go that route.
Pioneer Premier DEH-P880PRS - CD/MP3/WMA Receiver • 22W x 4 chan. RMS • 50W x 4 chan. peak power • white OEL display • detachable face • front AUX input • satellite radio-ready • multi-language display • remote control - , In-Dash Head Units, Receive

2 channel amp for components - ZED Gladius - Underated power and great sound.
--SoundSolutionsAudio.com Online Store-- - ZED Audio Gladius Burr Brown Upgrade

6.5" Components - PG Rsd65cs - Surprisingly great sound for the money, may upgrade to Rainbow slc265's if these don't work out.
Phoenix Gold RSD65CS 6.5'' Component Speaker System

Mono Sub Amp - Sundown SAZ-1500D - Very efficient and plenty of headroom. I got mine used on ebay, but if you can't find one email this store for the best price.

Subwoofer - Creative Sound SDX15 - Low inductance, 30mm xmax, and xbl2 motor. Should be a great speaker for the price. Don't let the website scare you, it's getting good reviews all over the place. At the moment I plan on using a 4.5 ft^3 box tuned to ~25hz.
Creative Sound - Product Details

Wiring Kit - Kicker 05PKD1 - Good flexible wire for a reasonable price.
eBay: KICKER 05PKD1 0 GAUGE AMP INSTALL KIT POWER WIRE pkd1 (item 130134490305 end time Jul-21-07 11:31:19 PDT)

Sound Deadening - Second Skin - I will be using this if I get too many vibrations.

I wholeheartedly recommend the DEH-P880PRS. It's not as flashy as some of the full-color display models, but the sound quality is just excellent. After you run the auto time alignment and auto equalization functions, if you try temporarily turning them off, you'll realize how much better they make things sound, particularly time alignment. There are about a million other settings you can adjust, but so far the only other one I've adjusted in the two weeks I've had the unit is balance, which I shifted to the right until both channels' volumes matched for me in the driver's seat. The stereo imaging is just excellent, a huge breath of fresh air compared to the factory head unit.

I paid about $305 buying it from Amazon.com seller "Sigmaenterprises", but that's only because I'd never seen SonicElectronix before.

Yeah, it seems to be a really nice receiver.

I just installed the pioneer, and it blew a fuse in the car the instant I plugged it in. It's too dark to check fuses so I will continue tomorrow.

If you have the Scosche wiring harness HA10B make sure your constant battery and ground wires aren't in the wrong slots. Worked like a charm after I switched them to the correct positions.
