aux jack and ipod

Is there a way you can hook the ipod through the aux jack?

Just plug it in, LOL... Like any other device with a headphone jack

There are some adapters to get line level out through the dock connector. Have never used one myself, the headphone out on an iPod sounds pretty good if you keep the volume way up

Boy, did I walk into that one!!

Now, is there a way I can make the sound that is in the ipod come out of the car's speakers by using the aux jack?

Yes, that's kinda the whole point

Make sure the volume is up nice and high on the iPod and that you're using a good cable and you have aux selected on the headunit.

volume loud enough for my ears to bleed?

Please note: you are explaining this to someone who does not want to think how to do this and wants to share the music with everyone in the car, not caring whether they want to hear what I have to share.

Yes, loud enough your ears would bleed with headphones. Very close to all the way up or all the way up is good.
