In-Dash Navigation

How much would it cost to have a in-dash navi put in my Fit. I saw a unit a best buy for $1000, im just wondering if it is even possible to go in the Fit? I know it would be a good amount of work to put it in there, and i doubt i would be able to put it it myself...has anyone had one put in, how much was installition? Thanks.

A Pioneer Avic D3 would be the best choice of the one's BestBuy carries. It's the onl nav unit seocifically designed to offer good sound. Also there's no Speed sensor hookup required. It's just like installing any other head unit plus running a GPS antenna.

Metra and Scoche both make a double din dash kit for the fit. Professionally installed it shouldn't take more than an hour and a half.

The AVIC-Z2 blows my freakin mind with the look of its navi...and the sonixelectronix.com price is like $700 cheaper than crutchfield right now....

I have a AVIC-D1 that I took out of my STi and put into my fit. Fitment wasn't to bad just not totally the way I want it. Other then that it looks great! I also have the pioneer CD-IB100II iPod adapter hooked up to my navi also. Let ya'll know how that works later.

Well got my Navi all done and installed finally! Looks ok just a little bit of a fitment issue. sits just a tad bit offset but it still looks good. I guess I notice it a lot more then other people. I also have my iPod adapter hooked up and I can control my music right from the head unit and I leave the iPod in the glove box.

audio installation is not that hard. also if its a gps navigation unit with the gpr receiver, it'll have some generic installation manual in there.
