LDO's Nokia Pedal Install, Mod, and Dead Pedal Fab

So I figured today, I'd install my Nokia pedals I got for next to nuthin (thanks EBAY). It comes with both pedals for my AT PLUS a dead pedal.

I decided to make my own dead pedal support out of a sheet of stainless I had laying around the garage. Here's the support.

As you can see, this stuff is pretty thick and should offer plenty of support.

Here's a pic of the mount that will be riveted to the back plate.

Sorry, no pictures of the dead pedal install yet since the paint is drying. Takes a little longer when the weather sux!

On with the brake and gas pedal install.

Fabbed these back plates to make the pedals 'pop' a little. Didn't like the way you can see the stock junk inside the holes....
It's the difference between this..

Or this...

Some pics of the install...

It already looks pretty darn good. We'll have to wait until tomorrow for the rest of the install and pics. Getting late, hard to see and another cold dinner waits for me....

nice! i had the nokya pedals also but i didn't put the black thing behind the holes so u can't see the pedals (even tho i did think about it). Nice dead pedal u saved urself $50. The only thing with the nokya dead pedals is that the brake is really wide so if u were to mount it centered to the brake pedal, it sits really close 2 the gas. I would sometimes have trouble hitting the gas w/o hitting the brake at the same time and that was kinda dangerous. I was going 2 move the nokya brake pedal cover more to the left, but i got full replacements (that fit perfectly) instead. Nice pix tho!

4pm Bump with final pics..

Thought about painting my dead pedal but decided to used some textured tape instead. Covered up the rivets nicely and I think it turned out pretty good.

Sorry for the dirty PopBoys floor mats...
I'll get the right ones soon...

Thanks Kevin. It really wasn't about the money so much as it was getting out there and making my own parts. I realize that this is prolly outside the scope of most people's ability or tool inventory but it was alot of fun and if anyone needs help or a cardboard template, just let me know.

Nice job! Looks much better than the stock ones - putting the contrast color behind the pedals was a really nice touch.

Real nice job on the DIY. Do you know why the lower right holes have the extra round part is it just the style of this manufacturer?

Claymore,
I believe these extra 'rings' are for gripping. Let me tell you, THEY WORK!!

They prevent your foot from slipping off the slick pedals...

he is indeed correct claymore. It's an inverted ring that actually grips ur shoe and it does work!

Feared,
I'm not sure of the model #, I would have to search thru ebay. As for helping you out, normally I would have no problem but I'm moving to Pensacola next week so I don't think I'll be here when you get back.

All of your photobucket pictures appear to be missing ... could you repost or otherwise share them again?
