Garmin Nuvi Confusion

With over 25 models of the nuvi navigators to choose from it can get confusing. I found this list via engadget that shows you the differences between the different nuvi models.

It should be helpful to anyone here considering a garmin unit for thier gps.

the ultimate nuvi comparison table -- NaviGadget

I have a nuvi 360 and am very satisfied with it's ease of use and functionality.

I have a 200w on loan from my company. I like it, very easy to use and very affordable.

i have the 200, and i love it, go with garmin or any other one that uses the NAVTEQ network
don't get tomtom as they use the TeleAtlas network , which is mostly for Europe and not as good for the u.s.

Garmin POI file for red light and speed camera locations

I use this site for red light camera and speed camera updates for my Garmin
POI factory I found it to be a reasonable price and the files are kept up to date in a very timely manner.

I have the 200W. Works just fine for me. Easy to use, aquires satelite quickly and the car on it happens to be almost the exact as my Fit Sport TWD Blue. I recommend the W as the extra cost is not that much and just easier for me to see.

I have the 255w and it's perfect. Widescreen is totally worth it too. I used to have a smaller Garmin StreetPilot and it was like getting directions from a tennis ball.

Thumbs up I have the NUVI 370

It already has preloaded maps for
Europe as well as NA . and has currency converter and calculator as well as MP3 player and bluetooth functions . It was really helpful in Italy to help stay found , it was great not spending half your vacation staring at a map .Works great here as well , I even loaded an Icon from their last update that looks like my
ORM Fit . It was expensive at the time but I'll bet you can get them for cheaper now . It also has an expansion slot for SD card for maps or photos and music .
Hope this helps .
