anyone? How did you do it. I figure I need about 3/4 to 1 inch more room to keep my ankle from cramping

i searched and searched for the disassembly of the gas pedal in my manual and i found nothing. i say get down in there and see if there is any way you can fabricate it, or take it off and take pictures of the endlinks of it to try and find something from another car that might work. sorry i couldnt be of more help.

Flat out...I aint gunna lie...I don't know
so I just have question for you ( I am 6'2" with size 14 shoes)
I have really, really longs arms and legs for my height (not so much torso
on me) and I feel the wheel and the pedals are a bit to close and I would
love my legs to be more stretched out but....
having said that should/would it be a concern if you mod the gas pedal
to be further away (even by a little bit like 3/4") that getting to the
brake quickly might not be as easy? safe? I have never been in a car where my feet didn't get tangled at some point down there and I wonder
if ones foot wouldn't get stuck just under the brake pedal by accident

I wouldn't want to feel like I am flipping pancakes down there

...oh I got a pair of Piloti's and the ball heel is amazing! My foot feels more
natural in the car. I am not constantly resting the corner or edge of
my shoes heel making for an uncomfotable pivot. (I can't say this would
in anyway help you, but it did help me quite a bit)

thanks for the replies. My problem is, with the seat all the way back my ankle is flexed in an uncomfortable position. If I pull my heel back to where my ankle is comfortable, my leg rises off of the seat and it becomes difficult to sustain the position without putting too much pressure on the gas pedal. the difference between the comfortable/uncomfortable positions (where my heel lands) is about 1 inch. I agree with Snap's concern about gas/brake pedal height differences, I have the same concern.
Perhaps kelsodeez is right...I just need to get down there and look at it and figure it out.
