Do they make that blank for LHD vehicles? So far all I've seen are RHD vehicles.

Panel looks the same to me for RHD or LHD. If they offer Sat nav then this is the panel used for the Sat Nav system. That's why it's offered in those countries that have a Sat Nav option like the UK but not others like Australia. Exception to this is countries like Thailand where the factory head unit is not intergrated but a standard DIN type (like they should use everywhere). Funnily enough they do this in Thailand because its cheaper than the integrated unit used in other countries.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the LHD and the RHD facias are NOT the same. It looks like the facia has a flat edge on one side and the other side curves around to the back.
LHD

RHD

Aftermarket conversion kits are already available in the US and have been since last year and since satnav will be an option the facia will also be available thru any Honda dealer in the US after the cars release as is a necessary part for the mounting of the double DIN sat nav.

The Best Kits (a division of Stinger) aftermarket kit is A$250 RRP. Its not yet listed on their website but its in their cattledog. Best kits usually include harness, brackets and pocket as well. Honda/Accura antenna adapters and speaker adapters also available. My antenna adapter in the Jazz came from them.

Why are car audio installers in the US not aware of this while those in Australia are?

Probably because car audio installers in the states don't even know WTF a Fit is yet.
