cig burn

One of my idiot friends burnt a hole in the upper right bolster on the passenger side seat with a cigarette. How much would it cost to get the fabric replaced and where could I get it done?

did you get the fabric protection from honda? theyll fix any burn as long as its under a certain size, i think its about the size of a playing card and they will fix it, i made it a point to ask them if they warranty cigarette burns too, they told me yeah. ive got 2 burn holes in mine, that are very tiny...luckily they are in spots i dont ever look at. one between the drivers side door/seat and one under the ebrake. i find buying an ashtray(the kind where you can just drop it in) works great when smoking in the car. i make all of my friends use it and put their finished smokes in there to prevent them from flying in.

Your other option is to call a vinyl repair service, like the kind that repairs dash and armrest pads. They have some way of repairing seat fabric also. Check with your dealer for a name if you can't find on in a phone book. This usually takes about an hour or so. I have seen the results in a co-workers Hyundai a few years back, and it was very hard to find the burn.

I quit smoking two years ago, but my wife didn't. She smokes in her Element, but I won't let her smoke in my Fit.

No way I'd let anyone smoke in car- no way, no how!
Anyway, like others have said, ask the friend to pay for the repair. Best of luck to you.
