Question Flippin' Fit

Got to play some more with the magic seats at another dealership and suddenly thought - if a Fit was to roll over, what would keep the rear seat bottoms from flipping up too?
And how would that be for any passenger who might be in said seat?

The passenger selt-belted into the car would be sufficient to keep the seat in place, I imagine.

The fit may not roll over. even tho its tall, the cneter of gravity is low. The fit has great handling, and that implies its designed to take big turns.

Ask Honda.... I'd like to know the answer to that to.

Right now i am assuming Honda has that covered, meaning that it should be safe.

I imagine that bar that hooks into the car keeps it there.

Yeah, isn't there a bar under each back seat that snaps into the floor?

Yep That's how it works in an Odyssey as well, and my Mother hasn't had any problems with instability in hers/

Question

But you just lift the rear seat lowers up - nothing locks or snaps from all the dealer parking lot Magic Seat play I've done

Actually there is a lock that will not let the seat bottom raise up. Though I don't know how to activate it. I imagine it locks during an impact like the seat belts.

The bar snaps the seats in place. Anyway, that should not be a problem if the passengers are wearing their seatbelts due to the fact that the seat bottom are not that heavy and are attached to the car which will impede them from flying out.

You have to trip a car to roll it over - poorly made US SUVs are a different story. The Fit doesn't need a stability management program like an A Class Merc to pass a moose test.

The car will slide laterally first then need to trip on something like a gutter while sliding sideways to roll. Might be an issue for all those US people buying a Fit for drifting but not for the 1 million plus who have already bought it in the rest of the world since 2001. Oh and the rest of the world wears seat belts and only use airbags as a secondary restraint device.
