First post! Opinions on the crutchfield kit

I'm probably going to be getting a Fit (base model) in the next month or so. The first thing I plan to do is put a new stereo in it that has a USB interface (I was looking at a Pioneer unit I think).

I've put stereos in three cars so far, I've always used crutchfield for my parts and their customer service and instructions have always been amazing. Since the Fit mounting kit replaces a large piece of dashboard I was wondering what people here thought of that kit. Any information for me?

There are multiple kits out there right now, the main two being Metra and Scosche.

The color doesn't quite match on the Metra kit. The fitment is off on the Scosche kit.

Your choice about what will drive you nuts and what won't. Searching will pull up some more answers as well.

Welcome aboard BTW!

Excellent advice and links. I think I can handle the colour being a bit off much more than it not fitting right.
