Hello all,

I have been looking at these two nav systems and there really isn't any substantial difference between the kenwood DNX7100 or the DNX5120....yet the 5120 is $150 dollars more....is there any real advantage to one or the other....also would these navs be worth the price or will the be obsolete in a month?

 

I have the dnx7120, which is the 2008 model. Last years model was dnx7100... I was gonna get the 7100, but the 7120 has mpeg/divx/avi playback. Between the 7100 and 5120, the differences I know of is that the screen is smaller on the 5120 and there's no remote included (I don't use the remote much). BTW, are you looking in Crutchfield? Because the 7100 is a refurbished model also, so that can explain the $150 price difference. You can it cheaper elsewhere... try hookedontronics.com or onlinecarstereo.com. navi systems wont be obsolete, so I would make the purchase all over again. I'm happy with mine.
