DIY Si Seats In '07 Honda Fit
#41
Actually, the track that i have customized is already at its lowest and very close to the bottom but it is at the same height as the stock bc the seats came in thicker. The Si seats are adjustable in terms of high and low but the lowest it goes is the same as the stock.

I'm sorry about being late and all because I wasnt able to find the pics of the whole installation and customizing process. But dont worry... I will be helping my friend do his so I will take pics as soon as I get my hands on his Fit and the seats. So sorry about the delay but it will be worthwhile. Thank you for your patience :]

How much did this approximately run you for the seats and to get it all in? and time? or how much would SI seats run in General.
Looks spectacular and and probably very comfortable and not forking up stacks of cash for bride or whatever seats.
do you have MORE leg room? Does the driver SI seat roll back more than the fits stock seat? im 5'10 and the fit is the only car I cannot extend my left leg completely and I hate it on longer drives
Nice "DIY" btw

I still think the best option is to just stitch in a "t" at the end.. So they say Sit.
When people complain about rice'in with si's be like.. nah mang, de's be Sit seats, just do what it says and sit down, shut the hell up, and enjoy the ride :3
An alternative idea I'm toying with is to get them to say FIT or SIT in a bride knockoff gradient lol.

The side air bag is basically plug and play. You only need to rewire the seat belt sensor. The passenger side has 2 sensors inside the two rails so you have to remove the box that has 4 plug in sensor jacks (bc Si has 3 plugs). The extra plug is a "weight sensor" that Si does not have. Thats why you need to switch the two sensor boxes and wires into the seats so it will work. I couldnt find the pictures to the whole installation process but I will try to find it and post it up to show you guys.
Hkjazz,

I know this is a super old thread, but I to need a bit of clarification on this. I recently got a smoking deal on a set of 09 seats, this thread is the whole reason I bought them, and because my back can't take the gd3 seats any longer.
Not to be an ass, but I found this DIY to be a bit vague. From what I understand when you talk about the sensor boxes that need to be swapped, you mean to say: That you need to remove the sensor box from the gd3 seat and install it into the Si seat, correct? Along with the sensor boxes being swapped from original to new seat that also the internal seat wiring harness needs to be swapped as well due to the Si seat only having 3 of the 4 sensors, correct?
I take it that the few pictures of the gd3 rails laying behind the seat was you determining how it was required to be re-connected?
Thanks for the help,
Guy

I wish you could just swap seat pans from the SI seats from the GD like the classic S2000 and EG. The S2000 seats were bar far my favorite and most comfortable seats I had in my previous cars.
HOW TO: S2K Seat Pan Swap into EG/Del Sol/EK - Honda-Tech
I've look over the part diagrams of the Civic SI, GD & RSX seats --- doesnt look to be a doable swap. Another item to save for, Clazzio suede and PVC seats covers with red stitching.

I've fully installed both driver and passenger Si seats in my fit with no airbag light on. Done like it came from the factory with the car. It's actually quiet easy to do. Hit me up if anyone wants to know how to properly do it!
