For anyone interested, Coverking now has custom taylored dash covers for the GE8. The lowest price is at Costco.com, but you have to be a member to buy here. Here is the link- I just ordered one. The dash cover from this maker that I had on my GD3 was a perfect fit, and completely eliminated dust and glare.

Cool! Well-priced too! Which material and colour did you order?

 

Black carpet- that's what I had in my GD3 and it worked really well. My radar detector with two little circles of "hooK" Velcro on the bottom would sit still and steady on the carpet until I removed it, and no pulling on the carpet itself. Absolutely no fading over two years of use.

By comparison, the GE's have windshields and dash surfaces that are HUGE, and the glare at this time of year has been bugging me enough to keep looking at various makers of dash covers. I was glad to find that Coverking was the first to make one for new Fits. Mine should get here on UPS today. Shipping on my Costco order took 3 days from the order to the ship date.

P.s San Gabriel is my home town. Many years ago I worked for Bruce Crary Lincoln Mercury and John E. Noyse Ford, both dealers are probably long gone from Las Tunas Drive in San Gabriel.
