07 Rear Seat Lock?

I have a 07 GD3 fit, dunno if it applies to the GEs but you know the latch where you pull on to unlock the rear seats to fold them down? I was putting them down, but then suddenly pushed down on the lever, and it clicked like if the latch thing got into a different position?

I cant find what use its for. I thought I broke it. Is it some kinda lock mechanism? I thought it was to lock the seat into the leaned-more-down back seat, but it didnt?

I hardly fold the seats since i carry passengers a lot. Sorry for noob question. Any info thanks

Yeah it did it can go back one more click. It gives the back seats some lean back. Its mainly used for the "refresh" mode. When u take off the front headrests and slide the seat all the way forward and put the backrest all the way flat for refresh mode, it will only go if the back seats are "reclined" also. Totally normal.
