S2000 starter button

Is there a good location in the dash to install one of these? This is another mod I'd like to do if not to difficult. There must be someone in the over 70 countries the Fit is sold in that has done this mod- please post your advice on this install.

Thanks in advance!

I apologize now for my ignorance, but if you're not looking for much space, you should be able to work a button into the spot where the Civics (at least used to) have the cruise control on/off switch, on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, next to the power mirror controls. The Fit cruise has all controls on the steering wheel, leaving this plate blank.

That space is used for the fog light switch in other countries as the NA model has the fog light switch in on the turn signal stalk..

only problem you may encounter is that the Start button may be to wide to fit into that panel.

You could always do away with the lighter / accessory plug in the centre console

That looks like a Pivot starter button.

SECURITY STARTER

Here's the PDF for the installation.

http://pivotjp.com/download/img/pdf-e/SSK-e.pdf

It seems like you press the button a secret number of times before it allows you to start the car for security reasons.

the hardest part about the installation is finding the courage to drill a hole on your plastic dash but otherwise it was easy. the pivot starter had wiring diagrams already. i recently replaced my starter button with the s2k variant. will post pic when i get the time

I put it where teh JDM coin tray is since i dotn' have it. The button fits perfectly!!!

Sorry, i took these while i was driving so they're a little blurry:

I'll take some close up pics today in the daylight.

if you install this push button start, would you still be able to turn the car on the normal way?

If so, why the hell would you do this? lol, wouldnt it make something simple into something complicated?

better if the normal start procedure is still functional coz u never know if the push start button will break down on you one day... you wouldnt want your car not to start

OK I like your install but is the key still functional?

MINI offered a kit like this for their car. You still had to put the key in and turn the car to on then hit the button to start and kill the car.
