For everyone who has the JDM Full Center Armrest Console, does the sliding lid feel like its slowly getting loose? Sometimes I can accidentally move it outward.

Has anyone experimented with tightening it? I bet it probably just has rollers on the bottom of the lid. Ill be checking it out soon.

 

Mine doesn't have the adjustable lid. My buddy has one in his accord and its seems just as stable as the first time I rode in it.

 

I experienced the 'loose'ness' after getting mine covered in leather, I suspect it just needs a tightening up...

 

Mine's only a few months old, so no loose sliding. I always have my lid fully extended out and rarely play around with it.

My question is, when you lift the lid up, does it pull up on the metal piece attached to the plastic part of the console? You know, the part with the 2 screws? Whenever I open mine up I'm afraid it's going to pull those screws right out of the thin plastic. Maybe I need to tighten the screws more, but I'm afraid of stripping the plastic, lol.

I tried tightening up all the screws on the bottom of the lid but doesnt seem like it makes it tighter. :S

When tightening it, yeah I was weary of it stripping. None of them actually get stop when tightened. Shoulda made it have metal or fine threads... If anyone finds an idea, or does something post here please.

 

You can always buy a new lid.

Since I was on the topic of the accord lid, I wonder if you could take the accord lid and use that with the JDm center console??
