Installing JDM Center Console on GD3

I can't remove the 12v outlet to install on the new console. What's the best way to take it out without damaging it?

took me a while too. there are 2 clips down in there. you'll need to jiggle them loose.

lol thats crazy! i ended up breaking the socket and bending the outlet... even on the new socket i was actually trying to move the plastic around and man its almost impossible to remove the outlet from the socket.. i was like holy shit, im glad i jus broke it. i was like this plastic was hard and was not worth the meticulous work since buying a new ones only a few bucks off a honda

I had the most trouble with the cigarette lighter part last week too. I was actually able to use the flat side of a bottle opener on my Swiss Army Knife to pry out the metal cigarette lighter part from the plastic housing. I pulled that out and then the housing came out with a little budge.

same here. i used some creativity after i broke it, the 12v wudnt fit into a new socket so i had to hammer it back into shape and use tools and random stuff to form a near circle. i dont kno why they make the plastic so stiff though, it doesn't even flex at all or much. i think they make the assumption your not suppose to remove them once installed or some shit? i was about to jus go buy a brand new one so i wouldnt have to do it again incase i part out
