Hello. I was looking around everywhere in these forums for an answer, but didn't find any, so I decided to register and post the question.

I used to drive a Jeep Wrangler, until back in 2007, I bought the 08 Fit. In my Jeep Wrangler's center console, there was an 8" sub that faced towards the driver and I was wondering if that is possible with the JDM or other center console modifications? Here's the picture of the Jeep's center console taken apart.

I think it was an 8" and to me, it was just perfect for that balance in the overall spectrum.

Does anybody know of anything that I'm looking for? If not, is the Stealthbox the way to go?

And also, I like accurate playback when it comes to sound, so if you know of the best sounding HUs and speakers, that'll be awesome. I'm a newb with car audio and would appreciate the help.

the fit console is too small to do anything like that, one of my friends has the stealthbox and he loves it

 

That's why I was wondeing if the JDM center console/armrest would be a good idea to place the 8" in there. If anything, I just want more bass in my sound, if I just need to change HU or speakers that'll be fine. Because I don't need a lot of bass. Just enough.

 

yeah the jdm one will only hold maybe 6 cds in the cases

 

im sure you can custom mold you a center console to fit an 8inch in there.....
anything is possible as long as you willing to spend and make some sacrifrices on the car....

change out the headunit first if you dont care about too much bass, changing the headunit make a big impact on the sound system

 

I'll do the HU thing first. If that's no good. I'll try look into the sub.

Yeah, I'm sure i can get a custom mold for the JDM center console. I'm sure it'll fit nice and snug too. I don't really care for the storage space either.

There are several like this for not that much$$,and as far as changing the head unit, I used a Scosche line output converter that taps into all four lines out. I am running a Rocford Fosgate 250-2 amp and 1 12" in a box and I have to keep it turned down so I can use the rear view mirror.

If you have a Sport Fit the head unit is a little more powerful than the base and you would loose the aux port built into the center console.

 

I have the Zeta Center console and I suppose if you are crafty you could make it work.
