I am planning to buy a Honda fit within the next few weeks. I Went to a Honda dealership earlier this month for test drives on the 2011s, and was suprised to learn that center consoles are an accessory that costs $400!!

I am planning to buy a used FIT, 07-09, and want to ad a centre console myself. I looked on eBay and they are not that expensive, only $40-50.

Has anyone tired to install something like this? Not really sure how to install it, but doesn't seem that bad... Or would I need to go to a honda dealer to have them install it?

 

Most after market consoles just plop into the cup holders in the rear of the OEM console. This is far from secure, but definitely a cheaper alternative.

The factory console replaces the OEM console and adds the console and is rock solid.

 

I would get the JDM center console if I were you. It replaces the entire center console. Easy to install, just 2 screws at the back and 2 clips at the front and unplug the 12V port when you get it open. It will cost you more, the last used one I saw used on here was $150 but from those that I know that have it, love it. It is way better than those e-bay ones. Well worth the money. It is harder to find. Keep your eyes open in the classified section.
