Question center console

Greetings:

I am new to this list and very close (next few days) to buying a new Sport. I have read some of the comments about the center console and they are widely varied (sigh) with no consensus.

My question is this: are you guys referring to the console shown at Honda.com under interior accessories? Honda says it slides back and forth so I am confused as to why some have said they can't reach the wheel while using the rest. Please enlighten if you can.

Thanks.

I installed the center console in my 2012 and like it a lot. It does slide forward and back, it's a nice tight sliding mechanism, and it does slide forward far enough to rest your elbow on and reach the wheel. It bolts down to the metal chassis under the console and the mount is very solid. I often use it to sort of lift myself in and out of the car to keep from sliding on the seat so much and it has held up very well. I would recommend it.

I've only had mine in for a little over 6 months, but haven't noticed any wear so far. I don't think it's going to wear any faster than anything else you could go with. You have to remember that some people could tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet!

^^^^^^^
This was my first mod in 2008 when I bought the car. 4+ years, no dirt, no wear at all--- still brand new in appearance. But, if you wanna get laughed off the planet, for sure buy the accessory in Post #6. Holy crap!

Yea, they could have at least had him facing down when they strapped him onto the arm rest...
