how the hell do you get the radio out? PLEASE HELP!

this has been asked a million times, but ive looked countless times and cant find a guide that still works.

ive removed everything i have read about in numerous places. such as the fan control cover, the 2 screws up inside the radio.
ive read that you just have to pull the radio out now.
but how the hell do you do that?
ive tried for about an hour now of pulling and cant budge it at all.

help me please someone

To be honest, the first time it's not easy. Just reach under the AC controls and get a good grip behind the AC controls (Not the faceplate only) and just give it one nice tug. U should get some clips free. Then work ur way around it. Don't use a tool between the panel and the dash, u WILL scratch the dashboard and scratch it up.

those clips are insane. i went by this approach.... and actually bent the bracket that it was mounted on, wedging the whole unit upwards. i had to take the entire dash apart to get inside.... so be carefull. u can use a pannel tool, but put a credit card on the side of the dash.

alot of people have trouble with these clips. in my opinion, theres no way a metal bracket that is reinforced on both sides, should ever bend before clips release... good luck... just be gentle..

Try the "Earthquake" method. Get a good grip under the AC controls and just do a shaking/pulling motion back and forth till it pops. That always works.
