i understand it's not the ideal h/u for sq, but im still surprised how bad it sounds with the "flat" setting on. It's nowhere near neutral.

I literally have lower midbass at like -4db and higher mid-range -4 or -6 on the parametric EQs

edit* make the treble at -8! But anyways im pretty satisfied with how it sounds atm, I think i got it close to as best can be with what im working with

I'll admit that you can only go so far until it's time to spend big money, but some tweaking and install changes will help along the way.

It sounds like to me it's time to get yourself a Christmas present that will make the fit sound better!

I wish! I'm trying to save up money for a track beater car.. haha I do want to attend a car audio event soon though and hear a finely tuned system for myself!

Anyways i moved the angle of the tweeters again and placed them as far apart as possible, it sounds very nice! I think the hump over the steering wheel causes some problems, but i guess i must live with it. How is your amp install going?

One other thing I didn't think of telling you to try is a dash cover (or a simple towel to see how well it works). I made one for the accord that goes on the dash when I go to shows but it can tame some of those high frequencies that bounce around on the hard plastic. I would start with one and see if two makes it any better. If that helps you can buy one of the molded ones for under $50 or so.

They don't look bad there! Kinda familiar.... Haha. I played around with the towels in the accord for a while before I finally made the panel. I'll eventually get one of the carpeted covers for the fit.

I'll finally have some pics of the first two versions of the box for the fit up by tonight. I'll add a new post so that everyone can give me any compliments or criticisms!
