SxExCx Project: Spare tire sub enclosure

I'm not looking to show the car nor enter any SPL contests. I just want to have a nice sounding system for my daily driver.

My first project is a fiberglass enclosure to house a single 10" shallow/low air volume sub. My goal is to lose ZERO storage space in the car and have the system be 100% invisible.

Here is is after masking and the first layer of resin and glass.

More pics to come as I make progress.

Great idea! I know the the 05+ type-s have this and alot of ep3 owners were finding ways to install used units. Something like this would be beneficial in saving space and staying conservative which is what I like! thumb up to you and keep us posted!

I have made some small progress but I have been too busy to get it done. Maybe I'll try to do it this weekend.

I have to admit that I lost my enthusiasm when I found 3 other threads with similar enclosures. Their results were pretty ugly so maybe I can redeem the concept.
