Beat Sonic Shark Fin -- Cheap

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you all a headsup... this guy is selling the beatsonic sharkfin for $12.95 ...regular retail is over $60 (if you check his other auctions he's selling em for $80.. not sure if this is just him clearing out his stock on the FIT model ones or what)

Functional Shark Fin Antenna 07-11 Honda FIT & Yaris-PW - eBay (item 150550933767 end time Mar-19-11 15:18:48 PDT)

only thing is it's white. i would suggest painting it like i will do (use www.automotivetouchup.com to order color matched spray paint)

It's a functional shark fin (non-dummy) and according to reviews here has similar reception to the stock antenna.

good luck!

Thanks for the info.
I called Beat Sonic for availability on their $12.95 shark fin antenna, cause they only had few, but I wanted buy bunch for my friends and all.
Apparently, it's not the price dump, but it's just discontinued models they are trying to get rid of.
And guess what. I found better deal.
They have about 10 or more shark fin antennas that has small paint blemishes, but brand new. They are willing to sell it for $5 each antenna. Just like Kenmei said, you can spray touch up paint over it, and get whatever color you want.
They have black and silver, but that won't matter because you can paint whatever color you want over the black or the silver.
According to the sales rep. They are not going to post it on ebay, but only willing to sell them to those who call.
Call 7149941085, and see if they still have that deal.
Good luck!

Hey Knicolas. Do they still have some $5 shark fin antenna for purchase?
How good are they?
$5 sounds too good to be true. I though $13 was cheap, but $5.. That's just too cheap.
Sales rep. told me it's got some blemishes, but is it really that bad, so that they had to sell it for $5?
Show me some pix!!! Thanks knicolas.

i'm sure you can sand it and repaint

which you'd have to do anyways unless you have a Taffy White fit (or want a white antenna lol)

got off a graveyard shift, stopped by beat sonic to pick up a shark fin antenna.

i met with sam who helped me out. he was awesome. he even came out to my car and showed me how to install it (surprisingly simple. EASY 5 minute job). he brought out a box and i saw probably about 5 antennas left. the blemishes on them are VERY minor. you can BARELY see it; about 1-3mm in size but i'm not sure about the others. i did however saw one other one, and it had a similar blemish. the reason why he's selling them so cheap is because it's a discontinued model and he doesn't want to sell these online because he doesn't to jeopardize his reputation by selling non-perfect merchandise. which in my opinion speaks for itself about this company.

i can vouch for sam and this company and would recommend this to anyone. i promised him i'd post pictures of my install and give a short review on the antenna. i'd do it now, but i haven't slept and i have work again tonight. i'll probably do it tomorrow morning. i'll keep you guys posted.

was wondering if you ever took pics of your install? Did yours come with 2 pieces of the 3m tape? are we supposed to stick one to the other for a thicker mouting pad? Or should we trim away some of the rubber to allow for the curve of the roof? Thx!

i never took pictures. i tried to use one mounting tape but it wouldn't stick because of the rubber trim. i didn't want to trim the rubber so i stuck the second piece of mounting tape on there. it holds like a charm although there is a about a 1mm gap between the trim and the roof. it's hardly noticable. if you could trim the rubber and still keep it looking clean, by all means, go for it. otherwise the second mounting tape should do the trick.

if you'd like, i can take a cellphone picture tomorrow.
