Phone Device Holder for Fit 2007

I have been using ProClip on a few cars over the years and was happy to see that a custom ProClip is now available for the Fit.
Here a couple of pics of my blackberry with and without in the holder which is located just to the left of the steering wheel, all without any screws. You first buy a vehicle mount then the device holder. I reused the device holder from my last car. Quality is great and it is solid as a rock.

How does it 'mount' to the pillar?

The phone/device holder looks nice, but I see in the photo that your sport 5 speed appears to be Storm Silver, no? Dammit...another one gone! At this rate, there won't be any left for me in December. Please, please, please just leave one SS Sport 5MT for me for when I come back. Is that too much to ask?

FitSport: Since you have the manual, can you answer a question for me? I have only seen pictures of the dash for the auto, and was wondering what is to the right of the tachometer on the manuals. In the pictures I have seen for the autos, there is the PRNDS display. Did Honda put anything there in the manual, or is it just a blank space?

Thanks. A gear indicator, or a programmable shift light would have been really cool, in a boy-racerish sort of way.

If you go to the site, there's a "How it Works" flash animation...

It mounts to the pillar by a tiny u-type hook that is the entire length of holder closest to the window under the door seal, then snugly fits to the pillar covering on the other end. It sort of snaps in and is surprisingly strong.

Hmmm, this might be tempting. The only issue I see is not being able to charge the phone at the same time very easily.

I have both the pro clip and the kuda mount in my fit. The proclip is for my iPod and the Kuda is for my phone. I mounted the proclip razr mount to the kuda and I can angle it to any angle and it's close to the 12v charger.

KUDA mount and holder HONDA - FIT (since 2007)
I like the location of the Kuda. Is it fairly secure?

Thanks.

There is only one issue that I found with the Kuda in that it interferes with the front seat when you pull it forward to put the back flat down for long cargo or relax mode. Otherwise, it is pretty secure and very well made.

The Proclip looks very stable but how can I use it for my Treo? I need to charge it and I use it for playing music through the stereo. Can you show us pic's with the Blackberry charging? Or do you not charge it in the car? How 'bout to use the speaker phone function through the stereo? Sorry for so many questions... Aside from the dead pedal issue that I solved with the Zeta product this is by far the most frustrating part of owning the Fit?

ˇGRACIAS!

ProClip Mounting System - Choose Your Country

I used a Proclip mount and holder in my '00 Civic for my ipod. I can definitely vouch for their high quality of parts.

My only complaint about the left-side mounting in the Fit is that the cables would have to run across my legs or dashboard to reach my ipod. I wish proclip could create a mount more for the middle of the dashboard.

It's a bummer that the Kuda mount interferes with refresh mode. Guess I won't be going that route then. If I were to use the Proclip mounting system, I was thinking of using something like this to run cables under the steering wheel.

CADDY® CATCR50 Cable Retainer Allows for Easy Change of Direction in Cable Runs

How's the ergonomics of the Proclip though? I read a post on someone not liking that it was to the left of the steering wheel since he was "severely right handed". Anyone else with this mount have the same experience?

I've been looking for ProClip to put out something for the Fit. I was aware of this one, but I wanted something on the right side of the radio, where my Celica ProClip was. I love the thing - I just apply Velcro to the bare plate, and to the back of anything I want to mount - no need for the plastic clip at all.

Edit: damn, the ProClips are ABS now? The last one I got was nice black wrinkle-painted metal.

Im ghetto style I guess. My phone just sits on the little shelf and it hasn't fallen out yet. That or it sits in my pocket or belt clip. I have a bluetooth device so I dont really need a holder. I will say that the one showed here looks nice.
