Question How do you guys like the different modes?

Hey FIT owners......How do you guys like the.....

Tall Mode?
-Does it really help with taller objects?
-What kind of objects can you FIT in there?

Long Mode?
-When the front seat is down, can you really FIT long objects?

Recline Mode?
-Can you really make your front seats FIT into your back seats to form a recliner type of sitting?
-Is it comfortable?

Utility Mode?
-How much stuff have you FIT in while the seats are down?
(I am asking this because I am a DJ and I need all the room I can get)

Overall space inside?
-Does Honda really live up to its hype of having some of the best overall cargo room inside?

Thanx guys, I appreciate the input and I can't wait to get my FIT!!
(two weeks and 2 days and counting)

Teddy B

I can vouch for the space being correct! It's got a ton of room! And the Utility mode and Tall mode are interesting, Long is good if you need it! And the refresh mode.........If you HAVE to sleep in your car.....

SO Congrats!

I absolutely adore Tall Mode. I use it constantly when dealing with groceries and hauling large objects. As a matter of fact, the seat behind the driver's seat is currently up.

I haven't had any reason to use the other modes yet though.

Used Tall Mode to carry home an office plant---worked great.

Folded down the rear seats and finally brought my wife's mountain bike home from her mother's last night. She didn't have a quick release front tire, so coudn't carry it as advertized in the brochure, but still, it fit with room to spare laying down on it's side. Didn't even think to try the bike standing up. Might have to see if that will work too.

The other day:
2 50# cases potatoes
1 cs. Escarole (bulky!)
1 cs. Fennel
5 bags Misc. Groceries
with 4 people in the car and WITH NO OBSTUCTION WHATSOEVER OF THE VIEW OUT THE BACK. We thought it would be a big adjustment to downsize from the Town&Country minivan but we are constantly amazed at the space in this car.

Tall mode is used all the time to carry a large hamper thing home from the restaurant. Long mode, you'll want a blanket over your seat. Carried a large framed painting home. Folded all the seats down to load up on a Costco run and then realized I could fold the seats back up because it all fit behind the seats. I don't want to sound like a car salesman or make the car sound like a moving truck but it is pretty remarkable what fits considering the look of the car on the outside.

Utility mode and Tall mode are both totally awesome. The ability to put a road bike (0r mountain bike) in the car vertically in tall mode and still have unobstructed cargo space in the back is priceless. Any serious cyclist should consider a Fit for this reason alone!

I had in Bippy the other day - 10 cases of Thera-Bands (in the back), a 6" x 14" Titanium Snare (in case), 1 - 1920s Gibson ukulele (in case) - both on the seat behind the driver (me), a Peavy bass amp and bass guitar in the passenger backside (tall mode), and my 6' - 260lb boyfriend in the passenger seat. And there was still room for more. I could've fit in at least one more drum case and a couple more guitars without even thinking about it.

I love my little Bippy!

Bippy?

Maybe you can explain exactly how you came up with that?

I bought a trailer hitch for my wife's pilot. Laid down the back seats and it fit just perfect

The first day I had the car, the boyfriend handed me an mp3 cd just titled "Bippy Sh*t" - I had no idea what was on the disc. It was all cool 80s pop.

I just thought it was an appropriate name. The Bippy part, not the other.

Silverworm ...

You will need to remove the front wheel from the bike, and then it will fit in quite easily in vertical mode with lots of room for the wheel also. I much prefer this to laying it down on its side in utility mode. The water bottles don't spill and bike not laying on top of other stuff like it would be in utility mode.

Tall mode:

Got a propane grill we picked up at a garage sale in there; had to remove the propane cylinder to get it to FIT.

I like the car in Llama, I mean, tall mode. It is so easy to toss everything in with the back seats up. AND, when needed, I think this is the best part, I can walk in one back door and out the other when the car is in tall mode

My girlfriend and I have enjoyed eating at Sonic in Refresh mode. It was nice and relaxing. And for the other modes, I havent had much use for them yet. I am sure I will in the near future, my Fit is still a baby. She just broke 600 miles last night : )

Last night I gave a lift home for a wheelchair-using friend. He had no trouble at all getting into and out of the Fit front seat from his chair, and the folded chair went right into the "Tall Mode" area with lots of room to spare.
